Popular Pattern Types: Diamond Repeats

To create a diamond repeat you can use the Glide reflection symmetry , or the Double glide symmetry , and set the horizontal size of the control path about twice as large as the size of the feature element. The diamond repeat then arises when the feature element is placed in the left (or right) half of the control path.

The diamond repeat structure appears most clearly when the source image features the main element on a neutral background.
