You only need to know some basic Adobe Illustrator techniques to use SymmetryWorks as a pro.

Start by creating one or more Illustrator path objects, for example, with the pencil or pen tool. Then choose Object > SymmetryWorks > Make or simply click the Make button.

Voila! The plug-in automatically duplicates selected elements and applies the necessary transformations to make a repeat pattern.
